Account Director (Media)
Salary range - $110,000-$130,000pa

Right now we are looking for a passionate integrated Account Director in our media team.
The role will suit an experienced Senior AM or Junior Account Director ready to step into a client leading role across a range of clients in auto, tech, finance, alcohol, and lifestyle.
A strong background in client service, media strategy and implementational planning. You will be responsible for the day to day client relationship, ensuring the highest quality of service and campaign delivery to achieve business goals across all media channels.
This is an opportunity to work in a highly integrated agency, collaborating heavily with creative teams to create truly holistic & innovative campaigns that deliver real and meaningful results for clients.

We are looking for someone who has:
Comprehensive client service experience (media)
Initiative to lead projects with confidence and passion
Strategic planning capabilities and a good understanding of media fundamentals
People leadership experience – you’ll have a team of three direct reports, plus dotted lines to wider team resource
Excellent relationships with media partners
A desire to work in true collaboration with clients and creative teams to deliver holistic marketing campaigns that deliver business results.
Headline responsibilities
Producing work in the JOY style that delivers outcomes for clients: client service, media strategy and implementational planning. You are responsible for the day to day client relationship, ensuring the highest quality of service and campaign delivery to achieve business goals across all media channels
Leading a high functioning and inspired team: direct reports will be Account Executive, Account Coordinator and you are responsible for their growth and development, overseeing and supporting work output. You will also be required to lead delivery from other business units (social/digital) to ensure full client service experience.
Be seen as a credible media expert: You will work closely with the Media Directors to ensure that the JOY product delivery for clients is superior quality and best in class.
Be an active contributing member of the agency – add joy to JOY: actively contributing to the wider JOY team & agency culture, representing values with professionalism
Key Tasks
Manage the business for identified key clients and be the main contact for media communication. Build and develop solid and influential relationships with your clients. Develop a deep understanding of your client's category to have an enhanced understanding of their communication needs.
Anticipate clients’ business needs and proactively approach them with media solutions to help grow their business
In collaboration with strategists develop recommendations in line with strategic business strategy, across TV, print, radio, OOH & digital and integration with creative approach.
Media planning and oversight of implementation across OOH, digital, TV, radio and other channels.
Ensuring that the campaign is informed by genuine insights and delivers on key objectives.
Working on new business pitches where required.
Work closely with Media Directors to identity opportunities for diversified services
Develop strong media relationships that benefit the client
Knowledge and understanding of marketplace trends and developments and their implications. Ensure this is communicated to staff and clients
Finance, admin & reporting
Manage the preparation of client documentation and financial reconciliation across client business
Budget management and forecasting
Monitor client expenditure versus campaign MBA (or similar approval) sign offs
Approve and analyse all client account queries and ensure these are answered within agency guidelines.
Ensure that activity, that is personally booked, is loaded into financial systems accurately
Ultimately responsible for managing the accurate and timely delivery of media reporting
Internal Collaboration & Team Management
Guide and develop junior staff members in your team, sharing your knowledge, mentoring, and overall fostering a collaborative team environment of enthusiasm and success.
Help lift the overall standard of media practice within the agency through up-skilling of the other team members
Manage the workflow of the group to ensure that tasks are delivered on time and the team are continually learning
Coordinating the integration of connections within the different agency functions e.g. Strategy, creative, buying to ensure cohesive service delivery
